Staffordshire University in the UK has lowered the total cost of ownership (TCO) of its infrastructure by up to 30 per cent by standardising storage and backup systems with HP technology. The University consolidated its server estate with HP ProLiant servers, moving away from the Sun Solaris platform. HP SAN storage solutions have greatly enhanced storage capacity and scalability while backup processes are more reliable and easier to manage.
